- This acquisition is being offered for full and open competition subject to the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code 235510. Women-owned Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Disabled Veteran Small Businesses and HubZone Certified Businesses are highly encouraged to participate. The project is located within the National Historic District at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. The work to be performed under the resulting contract consists of furnishing all material, labor, and equipment, appliances and performing all necessary travel and services required for refurbishment of first floor windows in a historic housing unit, located at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. The project is to removing existing sash, completely striping all paint from sash, frames, trim and sill, making specific repairs (i.e. new bottom rail, new mullion, install weather striping, replace stops, etc.), re-glazing sash using existing glass, and installing new exterior storm windows including screens. The contractor will also provide a detailed narrative report of the procedures related to: elapsed time(s) required, evaluation of disturbance of lead associated with this renovation project, clean-up procedures, and clearance scenarios, testing and inspection sequences, and assessment of the finished product. Paint on the existing windows, trim and sill on all units is lead based. Proper procedures pertaining to the removal and disposal of lead based paint is required. Performance period for resulting contract is estimated at 31 calendar days. Magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. When the solicitation package is downloaded, it should be read completely and carefully, as there are milestones that must be met to be considered responsive. The issued date will be on or about 28 June 01. There will be no pre-announcement of when the solicitation will be available on the Internet.
