- Description
- The USDA Forest Service intends to make multiple awards of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract for ten (10), twenty (20) person crews. Crews will be deployed primarily for use in, emergency wildland fire suppression, fuels reduction, rehabilitation and restoration, and or for related project (planned) use. Crews will be managed from the Eastern and Western Great Basin Geographic Area Coordination Centers (GACC's) located in Utah, and Nevada respectively. The scope of work may include assignments for support nationally and in Alaska. The purpose of this contract is to test the concept of a national crew contract which the agency anticipates for use in the 2002 fire season. Therefore the contract period will terminate on March 31, 2002. The contract minimum value (quantity) is ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per crew. Contract crews who receive awards shall be tracked as resources under the management and control of either the Western, or Eastern Great Basin Geographic Area Coordination Centers, to include all of Nevada and Utah, the southwestern corner of Wyoming, and southern Idaho. The Contractor is responsible to provide the quantity and quality of trained personnel necessary to meet contract requirements as specified, and shall maintain the integrity of the necessary organization to include all services, supervision, equipment, supplies, and transportation for the effective deployment of his/her crews. In accordance with the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriation Act, 2001, Public Law 106-291, Contracting Officers from the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Park Service are hereby authorized to issue task orders against this contract as well as Cooperators as defined in NWCG Handbook 2 in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth herein. Interested parties should submit a request for solicitation RFP 49-01-16 to the above address, Attention: John Venaglia, U.S. Forest Service Contracting, Jack Wilson Building. Selection criteria, Specifications, Terms and Conditions will be in the solicitation package and must be adhered to. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS IS JULY 25, 2001 4:30 P.M. Facsimile machine submissions will be accepted in accordance with the instructions outlined in the solicitation package. The solicitation is not available on the internet, only hard copies will be available. The Government intends to acquire services through FAR Part 12, Commercial Items.
