Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Competitive basis, 1 job -- Provide equipment and services to upgrade capabilities of a Melco Steel Autoclave, Machine I.D. 60530-082809 and a Thermal Equipment Corporation (TEC) Autoclave 8491, S/N 282. A site visit has been scheduled for July 10, 2001 from 1:00p to 3:00p. THIS IS THE ONLY SITE VISIT THAT WILL BE HELD FOR THIS SOLICITATION. If you miss the site visit, it will NOT be repeated. Vendors interested in attending the site visit should contact Brandy Corley @ 760-939-2272 or EMAIL CorleyBL@navair.navy.mil at least 2 working days before the site visit. Because a visitor's clearance is required to enter the Naval Air Warfare Center, the following information must be submitted for each person when requesting to attend the site visit: Name, Social Security No., Company name, address and phone number, U.S. Citizen -- yes or no, If you are a registered alien, what country are you from and your alien number. NOTE: If you're a foreign national or your company is foreign-owned, please submit your information at least five (5) working days before the site visit, as special additional clearance approvals must be obtained. Site visit attendees must bring a picture identification with them to enter the base. Attendees must also stop at the Main Gate Visitors Center in order to obtain a visitor's badge for area access for the site visit. The Main Gate Visitors Center is open Monday through Thursday from 6:30a to 4:00p Pacific Time and on Working Fridays from 6:30a to 3:00p Pacific Time. Please arrive early at the Main Gate Visitors Center to ensure you have your visitor's badge before the site visit commences at 1:00. Lines to obtain visitor's badges could delay you up to a half hour. Failure of a prospective offeror to attend the site visit will be construed to mean that the offeror fully understands all of the requirements of the solicitation. Prospective offerors are advised that in no event will failure to attend the site visit constitute grounds for a claim after award of the contract. This is a small purchase, small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 54199 and the size standard is $5.0. The solicitation and Statement of Work will be issued on or about 12 July 01 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. It is the offeror's responsibility to check this website for any amendments that may be issued to the solicitation and acknowledge them as a part of any proposal submission. All responsible sources will be considered by the agency.
