- Description
- This is a Market Survey to request information regarding a new audio intercom Master Control Station that must be compatible with crew stations of the VIC-3(V) and VIC-1 series of intercom systems. It must have as a minimum provisions for connection to: 1. At least two receiver-transmitters of the VRC-12, SINCGARS or GRC-213 series; 2. Vehicular power; 3. Two ports for connection to crew boxes of the VIC-3(V) series and suited to VIC-3(V) cabling, compatible with the VIC-3(V) digital bus; 4. Two ports for connection to crew boxes of the VIC-1 series and suited to VIC-1 cabling -- one for commander's box, the other for up to 5 regular crew station boxes; 5. Vehicle alarms; 6. Loudspeaker; 7. 2-wire telephone connection. Mounting footprint to match current CD-82 (VIS MCS) or AM-1780 (VIC-1); Mechanical envelope not to exceed those units. The AN/VIC-3(V) is also called the Vehicular Intercommunications System (VIS). All items shall interoperate with existing AN/VIC-3(V) and AN/VIC-1 units without degradation of function. The source must provide with his response the performance specification, test plan and test data, as applicable, to show interchangeability and interoperability with the existing AN/VIC-3(V) and AN/VIC-1 systems. The response must include documentation (e.g. test results), or a statement from the previous source that the supplier can, in fact, supply items that will be form, fit and function interchangeable and interoperable with the existing AN/VIC-3(V) systems from the previous known supplier (Northrop Grumman Corporation), and AN/VIC-1. The item may be considered a Commercial Item (CI) or a Non-Developmental Item (NDI). Known modifications, if any, necessary to meet Government requirements should be detailed. Successful supplier will be required to warrant that the items to be supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Government. Suppliers capable of furnishing these items must so indicate by writing to: Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-DSA-TST (C. Penta), Bldg. 209, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey 07703-5000. The deadline for response to this notice is July 27, 2001.
