Description

(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation F44600-01-T-0018 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. (iv) This acquisition is set-aside for small business; NAICS Code is 235710 with a size standard of $11,500,000. (v) Applicable contract line item (CLIN): CLIN 0001 Concrete, Quantity: Not to Exceed 602, Unit: Cubic Yard; CLIN 0002: Crushed Aggregate ? inch, Quantity: Not to exceed 1000, Unit: Ton; CLIN 0003: Crushed Aggregate ? inch to two inches in diameter, Quantity: Not to exceed 1000, Unit: Ton; (vi) Description of requirement: CLIN 0001 Contractor shall deliver approximately 602 cubic yards 3000PSI concrete containing GFM fiber to the Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) site located at Langley AFB, VA near the North Ramp as directed by the contracting officer or designated representative; Delivery shall approximate 150 cubic yards per day over a period of four to six days. The contractor must have the ability and resources to pace the delivery (i.e. either expedite or phase) according to the instructions of the contracting officer or designated representative based on site conditions. The contractor shall be able to make deliveries between 6:30am to 6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required; CLIN 0002 Contractor shall deliver approximately 1,000 tons of crushed aggregate ? inch in diameter to the Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) site located at Langley AFB, VA near the North Ramp as directed by the site foreman/project manager. Delivery shall approximate 250 tons per day over a period of four to six days. The contractor must have the ability and resources to pace the delivery (i.e. either expedite or phase) according to the instructions of the contracting officer or designated representative based on site conditions. The contractor shall also be able to make deliveries on Saturdays if required. The contractor shall be able to make deliveries between 6:30am to 6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required; CLIN 0003 Contractor shall deliver approximately 1,000 tons of crushed aggregate ? inch and two inches to the Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) site located at Langley AFB, VA near the North Ramp as directed by the contracting officer or designated representative. Delivery shall approximate 250 tons per day over a period of four to six days. The contractor must have the ability and resources to pace the delivery (i.e. either expedite or phase) according to the instructions of the site foreman/project manager based on site conditions and work progression. The contractor shall also be able to make deliveries on Saturdays if required. The contractor shall be able to make deliveries between 6:30am to 6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required. (vii) Delivery Periods: The contracting officer or designated representative will schedule specific delivery dates within the periods stated herein upon 48 hours notice. CLIN 0001: 13 Jul 01 thru 01 Aug 01; CLINs 0002 and 0003: 09 Jul 01 thru 20 Jul 01. Delivery dates are subject to change due to weather conditions or work progression; such changes shall not increase the price of the purchase order if the date change(s) are made within the specified delivery period.
