Description

Furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision and transportation required for the general construction of a 10 foot wide, 48 foot long precast concrete pedestrian bridge with decorative concrete railing located at the American Memorial, island of Saipan. Work includes the foundation which is to be designed in one of two alternatives: 1) using micropile system consisting of drilling in a steel well pipe using conventional welldrilling equipment; or 2) using conventional pre-stressed concrete piles, piles either 12" square or 12" diameter. Project also includes the construction of a new concrete approach apron on both sides of the bridge, connecting to the existing pathway and the mortared stone riprap on the river side slope. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Project completion time is 90 calendar days. The NAICS is 234120. Size standard is $27.5M. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Act. A limited number of solicitation packages will become available appraoximately July 12, 2001, on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Contractors will have a thirty day response time for submission of offers from the date of solicitation issuance. There is no charge for the solicitation package, however, only one copy will be furnished to each requesting party. Planholders lists wlill not be faxed.
