Description

USAID/Jordan, through the Regional Contracting Office in Amman, Jordan, plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for services to implement the Achievement of Market-Friendly Initiatives and Results Program (AMIR 2.0). The goal of this integrated economic growth program is to help Jordan achieve a more market-friendly environment for broad-based economic opportunity and business expansion. AMIR 2.0 will address a wide range of economic growth, private sector development, and public sector reform issues. Anticipated program components include: (1) the Microenterprise Initiative; (2) the Business Management Initiative; (3) the Information and Communications Technology Initiative; and, (4) the Private Sector Policy Initiative, which includes investment promotion, trade policy, customs reform, capital market, and general policy implementation sub-components. Program partners will include a diverse group of public, private, and non-government institutions and organizations. USAID/Jordan contemplates a four-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, consisting of a three-year base plus one-year option period. The RFP will be released on or about July 15, 2001 with proposals due approximately 60 days thereafter.
