Description

This acquisition is to provide food services to Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Indian Education Programs operated schools located in Arizona. One school is on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, 3 schools located on the Hopi Indian Reservation, and 4 schools located on the Tohono O'odham Nation. The contractor will develop menus which reflect student interest, cultural preference, changes in student appetite, special occasions, banquets, outdoor education, home economic activities, athletic events, field trips, etc. and which meet accepted dietary and nutritional needs of the students. Menus shall meet USDA guidelines and meet or exceed National School Lunch Program nutritional guidelines requirements. The contractor will provide training to food service personnel at the local schools in food preparation and management, food utilization and USDA related requirements. Period of Performance begins August 1, 2001 through July 31, 2002, with 4 additional one-year option years. Note 22 applies to this acquisition.
