NASA/GRC is now issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: 1) Verdi 5 watt solid state diode pumped frequency doubled ND:YV04 laser, 5 watts adjustable, nominal frequency 532 nano meter, standard warranty-1 year 5000 hours; Coherent Laser Group model number VERDI-V5. QUANTITY OF 1 EACH. 2) Tunable laser, model 899-01 TI:Base system broadband ring titanium sapphire laser, plus specified test options and high or low pump, tunability 690 nana meter to 1000 nano meter, to include 3 plate birefringent lyot filter, linwidth less than 20 GHZ, warranty included; Coherent Laser Group model number 0161-684-00. QUANTITY OF 1 EACH. 3) Broadband optics set. Coherent Laser Group model number 0164-085-00. QUANTITY OF 1 EACH. NOTE: ALL OF THE ABOVE ITEMS MUST BE THE MAKE AND MODEL NUMBERS LISTED FROM COHERENT LASER GROUP DUE TO COMPATIBILITY ISSUES. THESE ITEMS MUST ALL BE 100% COMPATIBLE WITH EXISTING NASA OWNED EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS FROM COHERENT LASER GROUP. NO EXCEPTIONS! This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from COHERENT LASER GROUP. THIS PROCUREMENT SHALL BE DONE AS A PRODUCT SOLE SOURCE FROM COHERENT LASER GROUP. ALL DISTRIBUTOR ABLE TO QUOTE COHERENT LASER GROUP PART AND OR MODEL NUMBERS ARE WELCOME TO BID ON THESE ITEMS. PER FAR REGULATION (13.104B) THIS PROCUREMENT SHALL BE ON AN ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL BASIS. NO EXCEPTIONS! The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 7-9-01 NO EXCEPTIONS! Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
