Description
The proposed work includes providing all plant, labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to construct a new Aircraft Maintenance Complex consisting of a 35,100 +/- s.f. building and 4,800 +/- s.f. addition at the Vermont Air National Guard Base, Burlington International Airport, South Burlington, Vermont. The F-16 Maintenance complex will include an Aircraft Corrosion Control/Maintenance Hangar and workshops in a single new building and an addition to the existing Avionics building that will contain an electronics testing and repair shop. The new building will contain an AGE shop (Aerospace Ground Equipment), NDI lab (Non Destructive Inspection), Jet Engine Inspection and Repair shop, Structural Repair shop, and a Corrosion Control section that is to include an aircraft wash rack hangar, and a Paint booth. Construction will consist of concrete slabs, foundations and spread footings, structural steel framing system, masonry siding, and insulated translucent wall panels. Exterior to be non-load bearing CMU walls, interior walls to be GWB or CMU. Windows to be insulated glazing. Roof to be EPDM roof system on insulation over metal decking. Utilities and support facilities including an AFFF Fire Suppression System in the hangar, plumbing, gas-fired heating system, heat recovery ventilation systems, air conditioning, water, electric power, sanitary and storm drainage systems. Asphalt paving and landscaping are also included. Also, included is the demolition of buildings 330 and 350 (17,718 s.f. and 6,128 s.f.). The demolition work will include complete removal and disposal of all debris and foundation capping and abandonment of utilities, and site restoration. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The related small business size is $27.5M. The magnitude of construction is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Completion date is 900 calendar days from acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three (3) weeks to process. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 16 July 2001. Only WRITTEN REQUESTS for solicitation packages will be accepted. Solicitation packages may be obtained by forwarding the written request and a non-refundable certified check or money order, in the amount of $175.00, made payable to "Blueprints Etc", to the Vermont National Guard, ATTN: VT-PFO-PC, Bldg #3, 789 Vermont National Guard Rd, Colchester, VT 05446-3099. Personal and Business checks will not be accepted. Requests shall include contractor delivery address and mailing address. Contractors are to state if they are a women-owned, minority owned, small or large business. Bidder's Mailing List (Plan Holder List) will be provided upon receipt of a WRITTEN REQUEST ONLY. Bidder's Mailing Lists will be mailed only (no facsimile copies will be transmitted). This is an unrestricted procurement pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, as established by Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Reform Act.
