Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to upgrade the foundations for Buildings 567, 569 and 572 Ruger Street, located at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of Work includes: (1) install several new pier blocks in Building 572; (2) install new wooden struts and framing clips; and (3) placing and installing epoxyed rods into concrete at all three buildings. No work above floor line will be performed under this contract. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Dept. of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. Tentative start date is late July 2001. Period of Performance is 15 working days per building. Work may be authorized on a building-by-building basis based on funds availability. Minimum qualifications include: valid California Contractor's License and Certificate of Insurance. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Meet at Building 572 Ruger Street (off Lombard Street just inside the Lombard Gate). Only those firms attending this mandatory site visit may bid this contract. Bid package including drawings will be provided at the site visit. Public Bid Opening date will be stated in the bid package. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is set aside for competition among Small Business concerns qualified under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR 121 for NAICS Code 235710 ($11.5M). Contact Barbara D.
