Description
Correction: This action originally publicized in the CBD dated 4/27/2001 and 5/8/2001 is changed as follows: The correct title of the project should read Purchase of a Hybrid Quadrupole Time-of-Flight Tandem Mass Spectrometer with MALDI Source(s)"; Change Specification 3 to "Primary ionization source-matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization. Change Specification 4 to "Alternative ionization source-combination of ESI/MALDI. Delete Specification 5 (Routine negative ion capabilities under data system control). Delete Specification 11 (Integrated biological application software package). Change Specification 17(Optional Line Items) a) to read "ESI/nanospray source(s)". In the Evaluation Criteria: a) change criteria 1 to read: The performance of the instrument will be evaluated using MALDI conditions as follows (exact procedures e.g., solvents, etc., to use will accompany samples); b) change criteria 3 to add: "A serial dilution of a standard peptide mixture will be provided. c) Add the following evaluation criteria: 2. Qualifications and Availability of Proposed Personnel (demonstrated evidence of the qualifications, experience, and availability of professional and technical personnel comprising the necessary project staff). Personnel proposed to be assigned and available for work under the project shall be evaluated on their demonstrated, documented and relevant expertise, education, availability, and experience, highlighting that which was obtained within the past three years; 3. Past Performance (Offerors will be required to submit a list of the five contracts completed during the past three years and all contracts currently in process.) Offerors shall be evaluated on their (1) record of conforming to specifications and to standards of good workmanship; (2) adherence to contract schedules, including the administration aspects of performance; (3) reputation for reasonable and cooperative behavior and commitment to customer satisfaction; and (4) business-like concern for the interests of the customer. 4. Proposed Facilities and Equipment (availability and proposed utilization); Offerors shall describe the availability and proposed utilization of appropriate facilities and equipment required to successfully perform the work requirements. All other information publicized in the earlier synopsis is correct.
