Description

The project consists of plumbing replacement for water system in the East Wing of the PNW Corvallis Forestry Sciences Lab. Water system includes main service line into the building and distribution lines throughout the building. The existing piping is mostly steel galvanized piping and some copper pipe. All piping to be replaced with Type "L" copper and dielectric unions where steel and copper lines connect. There is asbestos insulation on piping elbows, removal by a state certified contractor will be required. The project is located at the Corvallis Forestry Sciences Lab, Siuslaw National Forest, Benton County, Oregon. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. A bid guarantee is required. The successful offeror shall also be required to submit payment and performance bonds prior to start of work. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled on-site for July 20, 2001. Contract time is 30 calendar days. Estimated start work date is August 20, 2001. This solicitation is a Total HUB-Zone set-aside.
