Description

17. The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for engineering and technical support services for EW systems development, test and evaluation. This support is distributed across four areas: 1. Research test requirements, identify test resources, and provide technical assistance in the evaluation of the test and evaluation required to demonstrate EW system performance. 2. Participate in the development of systems and subsystems to improve the US Navy's shipboard EW programs, and 3. Conduct research needed to identify EW sensor and engagement system and subsystem requirements to support the Aegis and SSDS combat systems, and 4. Research alternatives and streamline documentation to support the acquisition decision process for the development of advanced EW systems. The period of performance is for 12 months with four (4) 12 month option periods. . The contractor shall provide, on a level-of-effort basis, eighteen thousand 18,000 scientific, technical, engineering, and support hours for the basic award and eighteen thousand (18,000) hours per year for each option, if exercised. The incumbent for the previous contract is Innovative Logistics Techniques, Inc., McLean, Va. The Naval Research Laboratory uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs.
