- Description
- The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment to replace the existing fire detection and alarm system in the administration, clinic and barracks buildings with new addressable systems. Provide new addressable fire alarm system in the EM Club building. Replace all existing interior fire alarm conductors with new FPL cables. Remove all underground fire alarm conductors. All new underground cables shall be waterproof. Interconnect all five buildings in a loop type network system. Provide other electrical work, and demolition work as specified. The new systems shall include a new addressable fire alarm control panel, heat detectors, ceiling and A/C duct mounted smoke detectors, manual pull stations, audible/visual notification appliances and transient voltage surge suppressors. The existing ionization type smoke detectors, which will be removed and shall be, returned their original manufacturer. Existing detectors are Pyrotronics, Simplex and Notifier. There is no charge for the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package. No telephone requests shall be accepted. All requests for this package must be in writing. Requests may be faxed to 305-278-6696. This RFQ is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 235310. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $11.5M. The contract performance period is 90 calendar days. Payment Bond is required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by this agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.00.
