Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD, has a requirement for a replacement of a Videocassette Rec/Repd Hi-8mm Tripledeck W/VTC-8X-003 card, quantity: 1 ea. (p/n V83ABFSTV, Airborne Trideck Recorder). This platform shall record three simultaneous video sources. This recorder shall also withstand harsh environments, i.e. vibration, extreme temperatures, shock, EMI, dust, salt and humidity. It shall have both S-video and composite video capabilities. This platform must also fit into pre-existing electrical interfaces designed for present projects. This recorder shall have variable record times, two audio channels per deck, digital alignment optimization, electrically and electrically compatible with existing installation. This replacement unit shall be identical in form, fit and function with the existing equipment. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, a firm fixed price contract with Teac America Inc., 7733 Telegraph Rd., Montebello, CA 90640 under authority of FAR 6.301-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. The Government, for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capability statements received in response to this notice. The government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the response received.
