Description

DESC: The U. S. Army Military District of Washington Acquisition Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia intends to issue a Solicitation (DADW35-01-B-0006)for a Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials and supervision required to construct an addition to the Department of Public Works (DPW) building at Fort A. P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. The contractor shall construct a training area and vestibule, which shall consist of infill areas between the two existing wings of the building. The Contractor shall also replace entrys, which includes removal and modification of existing sidewalks and renovation of the rear entrance/exit including the construction of a handicapped accessible ADA compliant ramp. The Contractor shall replace the windows in the front wing. The Contractor shall prepare landscaping beds and install geo-fabric and mulch. The Contractor shall construct a brick planter and install plants. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications and shall be subject to all terms and conditions of the contract. This project will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and is presently subject to the availability of funds. The Period of Performance will be from 31 AUG 2001 TO 15 MAR 2002. The magnitude is estimated between $250,000 to $500,000. The NAIC is 233320 and the SIC (code) is 1542 with a size of $27.5 Million. The approximate release date for the solicitation is 9 July 2001.
