Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD, has a requirement for Automated External Defibrillators (AED) -- Lifepak AED 500, p/n: 3011790-B, qty 100; Lithium Battery Pak, p/n: 3005380-026, qty 100; Complete Carrying case, p/n: 3005343, qty 30; Quik-Combo w/Redi-pak Electrodes 50 or more pair, p/n: 3008497, qty 100; Quik-Combo Defibrillation extension cable, p/n: 3011215, qty 10; LP500 Wall cabinet, p/n: 3012604-001, qty 70; Lifepak 500 AED Training system, p/n: 3012714, qty 2; AED Challenge: An interactive training tool, p/n: 3201070-000, qty 2; Point of Sale service agreement for Lifepak 500, p/n: POS, qty 100. The Lifepak 500 shall contain escalating energy levels of 200J for the first shock, 300J for the second shock and 360J for the third shock. The Likepak 500 shall contain a patented safety feature: "Motion Detection" to protect both the caregivers from a bystander shock, as well as to protect the patient from misanalysis. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, a firm fixed price contract with Medtronic Physio-Control Corporation, 11811 Willows Road NE, P.O. Box 97023, Redmond, WA 98072 -9723under authority of FAR 6.301-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. The Government, for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capability statements received in response to this notice. The government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the response received.
