Description

This project is a Request for Proposal to recontruct the Cascade Campground on the Salida Ranger District, Pike/San Isabel National Forest, Chaffee County, Colorado. The proposed project includes construction and reconstruction of roads and camp site spurs; removal/salvage of existing facilities; construction of camp living spaces and tent pads; construction of timber stairs; construction of bulletin boards, solid waste collection areas and various amenities such as picnic tables and fire rings. To get to project site, travel 7 miles South on Highway 285 from Buena Vista, Colorado, then travel 10 miles West on County Road 162. Cascade Campground is located on the South side of County Road 162. The performance period for the proposed contract is 365 calendar days and does not include a winter shutdown. Also note that work cannot start until after the Labor Day weekend as the campground is on the reservation system for the summer of 2001. The magnitude of the proposed contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This will be a firm, fixed-price contract. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition.
