Description
Services: The contractor shall supply and install condensers and evaporators in two refrigeration and one freezer boxes located outside of the Dining Facility, Building 15, at the U. S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center. Statement of Work: The contractor shall supply and install condensers and evaporators in the two refrigeration boxes and one freezer outside of the Dining Facility. The contractor shall remove the existing evaporators and condensers from the refrigeration boxes and properly dispose of them. The new evaporators shall be 208/230 volts, 1 phase, and 60 hz. The evaporators shall have a textured aluminum cabinet. The evaporators shall have a fixed defrost termination/fan delay switch. The coil defrost heaters shall be easily accessible and mounted in the face of the coil. The condensing units shall be replaced with condensing units that are 3 phase 208 volts using Refrigerant 22. They shall consist of a head pressure control valve, crankcase heater and fixed low-pressure control. The motors shall be rated for 50 and 60 cycle application in 120 degree ambient. All compressors shall have discharge service valves. The contractor shall install a safety warning light, on all three boxes, to blink red when the temperature of the boxes reach a set temperature to be determined by the Government. The contractor shall clean up the work site, leaving no accumulation of debris, at the end of the job. All debris shall be removed from site and properly disposed of by the contractor. The contractor shall repair any item of Government property receiving damage as a result of performing the unit installations. It is the responsibility of the contractor, without exception, to obtain a permit for any "Hot Work", to include, but not limited to, torch cutting, welding, laser cutting, soldering, etc.. Permits must be obtained prior to any "Hot Work" being performed. Permits can easily be obtained by contacting the Public Works Team, Fire Inspector. The contractor shall contact the COR at the conclusion of the job to allow inspection before signing off on job completion. The contractor shall insure that upon completion of the work the refrigeration and freezer boxes shall be fully functional according to the manufacturer's specifications. See Note 1
