Description

Solicitation DAAD17-01-R-0011, formerly called Ballistic Range Support, is now called Experimental Facility Support and was previously printed in the Commerce Business Daily on 23 April 2001. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released the week of 25 June 2001. Interested parties are advised that there will be no paper copies of the solicitation issued. The solicitation will be made available on-line at http://w3.arl.army.mil/contracts/opport.htm , and solicitation amendments, if any. A preproposal site visit will be conducted. Offerors are responsible for checking the website to ensure they have latest information available concerning this acquisition. Since the previous publication in the Commerce Business Daily the level of effort has changed from 468,132 to 574,080 and the work will not entail numerical analyses/simulations (e.g. finite element, finite volume, smoothed particle hydrodynamics, and Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian methods) to characterize material response and projectile-target interactions encountered during high-velocity impact. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. No telephone requests will be honored.
