The Global Air Traffic Operations, Mobility Command and Control (GATO MC2) Program Office, Navigation & Landing Systems Division (ESC/GAL), intends to procure approximately 18 operationally safe, accurate, and mobile Precision Approach Radar (PAR) systems, with training and support, for integration into the Mobile Approach Control System (MACS). The PAR is one of three subsystems making up the MACS currently under development. The PAR subsystem consists of a precision approach radar, PAR automation system, airfield automation and weather display system. MACS is a rapidly deployable and highly mobile radar air traffic control system. The PAR subsystem shall: 1. Provide an accurate azimuth, elevation and range radar as well as all associated controls, testing, monitoring, calibration equipment;=20 2. Provide (1) one operator position with four (4) radios and four (4) landlines;=20 3. Interface with the two other MACS subsystems: a Surveillance subsystem consisting of an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR), and an Operations subsystem (OPS);=20 4. Consist of a precision approach radar with a range of 15 nm;=20 5. Have a baseline system that is FAA flight certified IAW FAA OAP 8200.1 and capable of ICAO certification IAW Annex 10;=20 6. Be Year-2000 (Y2K) compliant.=20 Specific requirements and operational scenarios in addition to those described may be found in the Systems Requirement Document (SRD) and the Statement of Objectives (SOO).
