SUBJECT: Y-MECHANICAL UPGRADES POC Teresa Michals, Contracting Officer, phone: 817-978-4657; fax: 817-978-6171; internet address: teresa.michals@gsa.gov DESC: NAICS Code 235110 (SIC Code 1711) -- Provide all labor, materials and supervision required for Mechanical Upgrades at the Internal Revenue Service South West Service Center, 3651 S. IH-35, Austin, TX 78741. Solicitation No. GS-07P-01-UGC-5002. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of two existing computer room HVAC units and associated ductwork, piping connections, and electrical connections; removal and reinstallation of existing raised access floor system and lay-in acoustical ceiling system and ceiling mounted devices as necessary for removal of existing systems and installation of new HVAC system; installation of new roof-top HVAC unit, ductwork, and diffusers and grilles; and installation of new raised access floor system components and new lay-in ceiling system components necessary to patch systems where existing HVAC units are removed. Time of construction is 60 calendar days. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 3, 2001, with proposals being due on or about August 2, 2001. The estimated cost range of the project is $200,000 to $300,000. The project will be procured under source selection procedures, which will = result in a firm-fixed price award to the Offeror that provides the best value to the Government, with technical qualifications being significantly more important than price. A bid bond is required. This full and open procurement is being made under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, and all responsible firms are invited to propose. Size standard for this NAICS code is $11.5 million. The solicitation, including specifications, drawings, provisions, required forms, clauses, and instructions to Offerors will be available over the internet only.
