Description

The purpose of this Commerce Business Daily Modification is to update all contractors on the status of the Janitorial Procurement at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Agencies shall satisfy requirement for supplies and services from or through mandatory sources and/or publications. For the janitorial services a primary mandatory source is the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled. Based on this information it appears that no competitive solicitation for 8(a) contractors will be issued. The ANAD Directorate of Contracting plans to award a contract for janitorial services to the Opportunity Center, Anniston, Alabama through through NISH an organization Creating Employment Opportunities for People With Severe Disabilities. The agreement to finalize the contracting documentation with the Opportunity Center and NISH should be concluded by 29 Jun 01. In the event unforeseen. problems are encountered and competitive procurement procedures are required, a future announcement will be published in the Commerce Business Daily.
