- The Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation No. 01SI101466 is currently available. This requirement is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. The solicitation, any amendments, and other documents related to this solicitation will be posted online at www.pn.usbr.gov/contracts/construction on or about July 3, 2001 (this is an estimated date, you'll need to monitor our website frequently to ascertain actual issue/posting date of the solicitation as well as any amendments). The pre-solicitation notice is currently posted on the above website. If you are interested in competing for this contract, you must download and/or print the solicitation documents, including any amendments, from our website. The solicitation and any amendments will be posted in the Adobe Acrobat format. If you don't have the free-of-charge Adobe Acrobat Reader, there's a link on our site to it. Bidders are strongly encouraged to register via our website to be included on the planholder list. No paper copies or CD-ROMs will be issued unless our website becomes inoperable, then the solicitation and any amendments will be made available on CD-ROM or paper. If issued on CD-ROM or paper, one copy will be mailed free-of-charge to each party on the planholder list. The estimated price range of the work is between $250,000 and $500,000. The principal components of the work include clearing; removal of water from foundations and pipe trench; earthwork for and construction of: a reinforced concrete fishscreen structure with fish return pipeline, an unreinforced canal lining, furnishing and placing 24-inch riprap with bedding, and coarse gravel protection, and furnishing and placing gravel surfacing at the fishscreen structure and along a portion of existing road along the existing canal and near an existing railroad crossing; site grading and vegetative erosion control; furnishing and erecting chain link fence; furnishing and installing embedded metalwork; and furnishing and installing electrical equipment. All responsible small business HUBZone concerns may submit a bid which will be considered. See numbered note 27.
