Description

Third River Road. Located on the Blackduck Ranger District, Chippewa N.F., Beltrami and Itasca Counties, MN. Project will allow for overlay paving, full depth reclamation and paving and bridge repair on Forest Road 2171, with option items included for placement of aggregate base and paving on the West Winnie Campground Road that starts at the end of project of the base items and continues southeast for approximately 5.0 miles. The parent contract will overlay approx. 4.6 miles of existing asphalt road surface and full depth reclaiming and paving 1.1 miles of the existing road surface. Included will be in place culvert restoration with insert poly pipes, shouldering, painting traffic delineation and other items standard to a repaving project. Bridge reclamation will replace existing contraction joint on the concrete bridge deck at each pier, replace the guard rail approaches and terminal sections and modify the existing rail connections at the bridge to accept the new rails. Project range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Desired date for starting work is immediately upon award after bonding requirements have been met. Recommended contract time is 365 days.
