- Description
- The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, supervision, materials, supplies, parts, equipment, tools, transportation and management necessary to perform preventive maintenance inspection service (PMIS), service calls, and repairs as required to maintain Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment systems and associated equipment at the Marine Corps Reserve Center, West Trenton, NJ. This includes quarterly PMIS of air handling units and HVAC units and annual PMIS of HVAC systems & associated equipment; semi-annual PMIS of hot water heaters; seasonal start-up, mid-season PMIS, and post season shut-down of the boiler along with annual boiler certification; and seasonal start-up, mid-season PMIS, and seasonal shut-down of chiller system. The contractor will ensure that the systems covered by this specification conform to the manufacturer's requirements. Scheduled maintenance and inspection of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, to include hot water heater, boiler and chiller shall be under the "Firm Fixed Price" portion of the contract. Service calls during regular working hours, service calls after regular working hours and repair work shall be under the "Indefinite Quantity" portion of the contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811310. The size standard is $5.0. The resultant contract will be a combination firm fixed price and indefinite quantity type contract. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The term of the contract is for one twelve-month Base Period plus four twelve-month Option years. The solicitation (specification) will be limited to the electronic medium. The specification WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format or CD_ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Registration and downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are required to register on the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ESOL website for this procurement when specifications become available. An official plan holder lists will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. If you fail to register, the Government cannot be responsible for your being notified of any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about 5 July 2001. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the internet. Therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. In addition, all contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. NOTE: Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR database with their offer.
