Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The solicitation document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The NAICS code for this project is 811219 (annual income of $5.0 million or less). The contractor shall provide scheduled preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and on-site maintenance, repair, calibration, performance verification and quality assurance to keep all equipment in optimum operating condition with the manufacturer's specification for operation and performance at the Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System, VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network, Las Vegas, Nevada. Eye equipment consist of Reichert Phoroptors, Reliance Ophthalmic Stands, Topcon Ophthalmometer OM4, Heine Indirect Ophthalmoscope, Topcon 7E Lamps with Tonometer, Topcon ACP 7R Projectors, Reliance Ophthalmic Chairs, Hand Instruments, Topcon 501A Retinal Camera, Lensometers, and Autorefractors. The intended contract will be for a base period of one year with the government's option to extend the contract in one-year increments for four (4) one-year option periods. The solicitation issue date will be on or about 19 June 2001 with proposals due on or about 18 July 2001 (2:00PM).
