Description

The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA/NMFS Office of Science and Technology intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College to provide services for developing a three dimensional model-based climatology for the Irish Shelf Region in support of the NOAA/Marine Institute (MI) of Ireland collaboration. This product will be used for research to improve predictive capabilities for the recruitment of Marine fish stocks, migration and marine survival of Irish Atlantic salmon stocks, and the occurrence of harmful algal blooms. This will be an elaboration on the preliminary modeling studies developed by the contractor during the past year. This is a notice of intent with no solicitation package available. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. (Reference No. 01-00020)
