Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama intends to purchase a Ryobi 3302HA 2-Color offset Press. The following is a list of features that are required. (1) True two color offset press; (2) V-Shaped 5-cylinder system; (3) Double diameter impression, allows for two color printing without gripper change; (4) Two independent blanket cylinders, helps reduce ink contamination issues; (5) Double sprung grippers on impression cylinders and feed drum; (6) Ryobi Super damperer-6 roller continuous dampening system-motor driven from roller or equal; (7) Two stage dampening systems control for metal or polyester plate applications; (8) Dampening solution cooling and circulation device; (9) Delivery side centralized operation panel, function control start, stop, pump-activation, paper feed, inking, water, number of prints, speed and water volume, all with touch button control, (10) Universal paper feed board with push guide; (11) Mechanical and electronic double sheet detectors; (12) OK Monitors at feeder and delivery sections; (13) Paper size change button; (14) Ryobi semi-automatic plate changer; (15) Straight edge plate clamp with positioning pins; (16) Ryobi RP-520-220F precision plate punch with optical registration or equal; (17) Diagonal Image adjustment paper feed drum on the fly; (18) Dial type image adjustment side to side on the fly; (19) Dial type image adjustment up and down; (20)Ryobi PCS-F Remote ink fountain control or equal; (21) Ink control data can be stored on a 3.5 inch floppy disk; (22) Plate cylinder predetermined stop function; (23) Ink volume stepless adjustment; (24) Automatic ink ductor control; (25) Ink roller clean-up attachment (2 pcs); (26) 2 each feeder tables; (27) 2 each Delivery Dollies; (28) Static Eliminator; (29) Power Spray device; (30) Preset repeat counter with batch; (31) Totalizer; (32) Emergency stop at each printing unit, feeder and delivery; (33) Cylinder safety bars; (34) Delivery paper pull-out device; (35) Automatic delivery pile lowering mechanism; (36) Delivery table lower limit switch; (37) Centralized oiling system; (38) Work organizer; (39) Blanket wash plunger can; (40) Oil pan; (41) Tool box with tools; (42) Air compressor; (43) Quick change blanket system blanket with bars; (44) Max paper size 13.39" X 17.72"; (45) Minimum paper size 3.54" X 3.94"; (46) Paper thickness .0016" -- 0.12"; (47) Max image area 12.99" -- 17.24"; (48) Speed Range Minimum 3,000 -- 8000 IPH Max.; (49) 16 Ink rollers with 3 Ink forms; (50) Contractor will include 100 metal plates for the printing press. (51) Unit must be installed and serviced by a factory trained and certified technician; (52) Response time for warranty repair shall be within 8 working hours of the initial call, during the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday; (53) Contractor shall provide operator instructions at the VA Medical Center to pertinent VA staff, also contractor shall provide VA Maintenance Personal with basic training to trouble shoot problems to reduce down time. The use of any part numbers in the announcement are to be use as a guide for any other offeror purporting to be able to furnish this system or a system equal to the above description. Offeror shall submit a written response along with cut sheets and a description on all equipment that is being portrayed as equal to the listed equipment for review by the using service by July 3, 2001.
