- Work consists of providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to repair the heat, vent, air-conditioning (HVAC) duct system in Military Family Housing (MFH) units at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. =20 The work involved includes, but is not limited to, the following for various Type A, B, C, D and E housing units located in the Berkley Village housing area: (1) Vacuum, clean and sanitize all HVAC ductwork, Air Handling Units (AHU), coils, condensate drain pans and air plenums; (2) Remove and replace all existing air distribution grilles with new registers; (3) Clear, clean, and slope existing condensate drain lines serving the AHUs; (4) Remove and replace existing return plenum wall casing fibrous glass insulation; (5) Remove and replace existing damaged AHU casing insulation and return air plenum insulation, as necessary; and (6) Miscellaneous wall finish cutting, patching, repair and painting as necessary to accomplish ductwork cleaning. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. This will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) service contract. The performance period is a base year with one (1) option year. The guaranteed minimum contract amount including the option is $100,000.00 and the maximum contract amount is $500,000.00. The minimum amount per task order is $950.00, and the maximum amount per task order is $100,000.00.=20 This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. =20 Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible but not later than 10 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. A decision on whether this requirement will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted on EPS within 5 calendar days after the 10 calendar days have expired. =20 The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235110 with a three-year average annual small business size standard of $7 million. The successful contractor will be selected using performance/price tradeoff procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Performance is significantly more important than price. Recent, relevant, past and present performance information is requested not = later than 7 Aug 01. (Recent, relevant, past and present performance is defined as performance of the same or similar type of work within the last three years.) It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically o/a 12 July 01 on the Government?s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at = www.eps.gov. Paper copies are not available. You must register on that site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation.
