Description

Modernize/refurbish the two (2) elevators at the subject facility. Retain/renovate the hoist machines, governors, car safety device, car sling and platforms (new roller guides), car and counterweight guide rails, counterweights (new roller guides), entrance frame and sills, hoistway door panels, and car and counterweight buffers. New items include motor generator sets, car and group controls, selector system, hoist and governor ropes, car enclosures, door detectors, door operators and related equipment, hoistway wiring and travel cables, cab communications, and emergency lighting. Elevator electrical upgrades include a new electrical panel, new circuits for car lights, machine room outlets, lights in pits, new phone lines in machine room for car telephones, and a new heating/air conditioning unit in the machine room to maintain design temperatures. Provide new elevator lobbies in the basement and from the first floor to the sixth floor. The lobbies will consist of 8-inch concrete block walls from finish floor to the underside of the structural deck, with hollow metal framed windows and new hollow metal doors with a 6-inch by 36-inch light and includes adding new lighting, modifying illuminated exit/stair signage, and modifying the fire alarm system at the Federal Parking Facility, 450 Federal, Chicago, Illinois. This procurement a total small business set-aside. The NAICS is 235950 with a size standard of $11.5 million and the estimated cost range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and drawings.
