Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Hubzone 8 (a), 8 (a), Hubzone, Small, Small Disadvantage and Large Business) relative to NAICS code 334119 (Size standard of 1000 employees). Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. See submittal requirements below. After a review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a solicitation announcement will be published in the CBD. Responses to this sources sought are not adequate response to the solicitation announcement. 50th Contracting Squadron is seeking interested sources for a potential contract to provide for technical design and all necessary equipment, materials, supplies, labor, tools and transportation for complete delivery and installation of a non-proprietary Government Owned Audio-Visual system operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, CAGE Code, CCR currency, size of business pursuant to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) and must respond to the following questions: (1) Is your business a large or small business? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small emerging business or a small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantage group and is your firm certified under Section 8 (a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified ?Hub zone? firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-disabled Veteran-owned and Veteran-owned? (7) Please review the attached draft statement of objectives and provide comments regarding commerciality and clarity of requirements. (8) Based on the technical/solution proposal requirements outlined in the draft statement of objectives, is it common industry practice to provide this level of information at no cost in a technical proposal? This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be sent to the attention of Janet Stinson or Kristi = Heikkila, 50th Contracting Squadron, 300 O? Malley Avenue, Ste. 49, Schriever AFB CO 80912-3049. Responses may be faxed to 719-567-3809, and must be received in writing no later than 2:00pm on June 21, 2001. Telephone and/or email responses will not be accepted. Firms responding to this announcement which fail to provide all of the required information cannot be used to help the Government make the acquisition decisions, which is the intent of this synopsis. This notice is to help the 50th Contracting Squadron in determining potential sources, market research planning only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award, nor will the Government pay for information requested. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in the CBD and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Response to this sources sought synopsis is not a request to be added to a prospective bidder?s list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
