Description
Drydock for repair and conversions of the EX-USNV Agate Pass.=20 Characteristics: 186' 6" in length, length between perpendiculars is 40', beam of 40', draft of 10' 6", depth to Main Deck is 20', 1200 L tons displacement FL); main propulsion engine is Cummins Model KTA-50M, V-16, Diesel engine (1250 HP @ 1800 RPM). Work will include, but not be limited to: Towing ship from PMC to shipyard, drydocking, initial ABS load line assignment, stability test, inspection and repairs to sea valves, rescue boat and davit installation, torpedo tube demilitarization, Z-drive upgrade, installation of integrated bridge and GMDSS sytems, tail shafting and bearing inspection, installation of machinery monitoring, alarm and control system, installation of general announcing system, removal for blanks from overboard discharges, installation of reverse osmosis water makers, ballast and fuel oil tank modifications, bow thruster inspection and service, installation of marine sanitation device, painting of topside and hull (including non-skid), installation of ship's uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), installation of freezer and refrigerator boxes, installation of INMARSAT/cell phone/wave talk/ext. telephone, refit sound powered telephone system, main mast modifications/light modifications, installation of constant tension winch and HPU foundations, grey water drain modifications, modification to access lighting fixtures and installation of steering control modifications. Vessel is home ported Seattle, Washington. Period of performance will be from approximately December 3, 2001 through April 26, 2002 (approximately 144 calendar days). This is a 100 percent small-business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency.
