Description
Reference previously published CBD announcement for DACW62-01-T-0027. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation number is DACW62-01-T-0037 and is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition FAC 97-19. This is an unrestricted acquisition. SPECIFICATIONS FOR 95 HP EIGHT-INCH SUBMERSIBLE PUMP 1.1. General. These specifications require three (3) eight inch 95 hp submersible Gorman-Rupp Model S8A18 or equal to be furnished and delivered and ready for operation. The salient characteristics of the designated make and model are: 2.1 Pump: Electric submersible, single stage, centrifugal operating on 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle. AC current at 1750 RPM. The pump motor shall be 95 hp. The motor shall run in oil and be watertight. Pump shall have capacity of not less than 2300 GPM at an 85-foot total dynamic head and not less than 2700 GPM at a 45-foot total dynamic head. The pump shall be capable of operating satisfactorily for indefinite periods of time without damage. The pump shall be similar and equal to the Gorman-Rupp Company submersible model no. S8A18. 2.1.1 The pump motor and motor housing shall be of a special design for submersible pumps of this type. The motor windings shall be completely encapsulated against water and oil. The rotor shaft shall be equipped with ball or roller bearings. The bearings shall be of sufficient design to take all thrust and dead load imparted to them during operation. All seal, motor, and pump housings shall be aluminum alloy. 2.1.2 The pump shall have a seal assembly, which consists of an upper and lower seal that prevents the pumping media from entering the bearings and motor windings. Both seals shall operate in oil. The lower seal shall have tungsten carbide (or equal) wearing surface. The oil reservoir shall have the necessary plugs in the exterior housings for quickly checking and draining the reservoir or reservoirs without disassembly of the pump. Pump shall be capable of operating indefinitely in dry without injury to the pump or motor windings where motor windings are submersed in oil. All internal nuts and bolts coming in contact with the pumping media shall be stainless steel. The pump shall have a stainless steel impeller and diffuser. The impeller shall be keyed to the motor shaft and held in place with a draw nut. The impeller shall run within the diffuser and suction head with a precision fit to minimize leakage and maintain pumping efficiency. 2.1.3. The pump shall come equipped with lifting bail and strainer with the proper size openings and of sufficient strength to support the pump. The intake shall be on the vertical periphery of the strainer. The pump shall discharge its media around the seal assembly and motor housings to insure proper operating temperature, to a 8" discharge opening located in the top of the pump casing. The impeller shall act as a fan to cool the motor when the pump runs dry. 2.1.4 The motor shall be furnished with 250 feet of three-conductor, three-ground, No. 2 AWG, Type GGC power cable. The pump shall be furnished with a NEMA 3R control box containing a solid state reduced voltage starter with by-pass contactor, 120 control voltage transformer, 3-coil overload relay and magnetic trip circuit breaker and three-position selector switch; automatic, OFF manual. The weight of the pump shall not exceed 950 pounds without cable or control box. 2.1.5 Three (3) sets of specification data, pump curves operating instructions and parts lists shall be furnished with each pump. 2.1.6 Each bidder shall be required to furnish descriptive literature. 2.1.7 Successful bidder shall warrant the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of twelve (12) months. 2.1.8 The pumps specified herein shall be delivered in 120 days after date of receipt, by the contractor, signed copy of the contract. All transportation charges shall be paid by the contractor. 2.1.9 The pumps to be furnished shall be consigned and delivered as follows: U. S. PLEASE NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED RESPONSIVE, PRODUCT MUST BE FURNISHED WITH A NEMA 3R CONTROL BOX CONTAINING A SOLID STATE REDUCED VOLTAGE STARTER WITH BY-PASS CONTACTOR. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instuctions to Offerors Commercial, applies. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with the substitution of DFARS 252.225-7000 Buy American Act and Balance of Paymnets Program Certificate instead of provision at FAR 52.225-2 Buy American Act Balance of PAyments Program Certificate, and include DFARS 252.204-6 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to the solicitation.
