- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COMBINED Synopsis/RFO FOR VACUUM CHAMBER SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their offer. This notice serves as the official amendment to the subject solicitation and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to include the following: The chamber consists of 5 major components: a.) the Cylinder, b.) the End Caps (2x), and c.) the Hemispheres (2x). The statement also asks the vendor to supply five vacuum valves (two ASA32 gate valves, two ANSI 20 gate valves, and one ASA36 gate valve) and two anti-backstreaming baffles. In addition MSFC stated that the chamber be built according to ASME standards. MSFC would like the cost of the quote broken down as follows: 1.) The cost of the Cylinder 2.) The cost of each End Cap 3.) The cost of each Hemisphere 4.) The cost per valve of the two ASA32 gate valves 5.) The cost per valve of the two ANSI 20 gate valves 6.) The cost of the ASA36 gate valve 7.) The cost per baffle of the two anti-backstreaming baffles 8.) The added cost of having the chamber ASME code-stamped In addition, the offeror should include in their quote a selected list of previous vacuum chambers (up to 10) that they have supplied. This list will include, for each chamber, the dimensions of the chamber, the level of vacuum it was designed for, it s end use (if known), and the company to which it was sold. The Government reserves the right to award on a partial basis. The due date for receipt of offers is June 15, 2001. Offers shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFO posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) and published in the CBD on May 16, 2001. Documents related to this solicitation will be available over the Internet. These documents are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
