- Description
- The work for this project involves the following: Provide all material, equipment and labor to construct a new 12,432 GSF Cafeteria and a new 18,557 GSF Gymnasium on the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center campus in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Also, furnish all material, equipment and personnel for the demolition of a 95,000 cf building and a 118,250 cf building along with pavements, sidewalks, curb and gutter, a concrete slab, a gazebo, a storm shelter, and all utilities associated with the two buildings. The demolition will be completed prior to the start of the new construction. The period of performance for construction is 365 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of project. The estimated cost range of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Plans and Specifications will be available on June 29, 2001, only from the FREWEN ARCHITECTS firm, 115 E. Gregory Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri. Contact Cindy Frewen (816) 444-2955 Ext. 222 for additional information. Collect calls Will Not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Request will be limited to the issuance of one complete set per request from any interested party. Plans and Specifications will be available for pick-up at the A/E's office, or may be arranged for delivery at an additional charge. Any additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid and COD request will not be accepted. All requests must be in writing. All requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents, plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for July 18, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. (Local Time) at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids. Bid opening date is July 31, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. local time at the A/E's office. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 million.
