Description

The project includes maintenance dredging of approximately 126,000 cubic yards of required material as well as 154,000 cubic yards of allowable material at Calumet Harbor from a 1500 foot wide area of the Federal Navigation Channel, re-handling and disposal of the material into the Chicago Area Confined Disposal Facility (CDF). There is a one-foot allowable over depth directly below the required dredging. The Government furnished disposal area is located in Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Calumet River adjacent to the Harbor area to be dredged. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 02 July 2001 and Bid Opening Date is 01 Aug 2001 at 2:00 PM EST.
