Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a = requirement for the development of a curriculum for an Asthma Training = Center for the public health workforce. This project will address the = growing need for an integrated and comprehensive asthma-training = curriculum. The asthma curriculum developed by the contractor will be = offered on a continuing basis through an established educational = institution. The contractor will convene a panel of experts to assist = in the development of a survey to identify training needs of the public = health community. The contractor will then conduct the survey, analyze = existing national asthma curricula and job analyses against the = identified training needs, and coordinate with the sponsoring = organization to determine if applicable existing materials could be = used in the new curriculum. After this activity is completed, the = contractor will design and develop the remaining curriculum training = needs. The contractor will then evaluate the fully incorporated = modules using a systematic (performance-based) methodology. Upon = completion of the evaluated curriculum, CDC will issue another contract = for the implementation of the training material. Competition for this = acquisition is full and open. The NAICS code for this acquisition is = 611710, and is provided for informational purposes only. All = responsible sources that have the ability to perform the above = requirements may submit a proposal which shall be considered by CDC. = The solicitation will be available on or about June 29, 2001.
