Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase = order on a sole source basis to D. Lance Lockwood as a Project Manager = for the Hospital Bed Safety Workgroup (HBSW). The Project Manager shall = be responsible for managing the project timeline. The Project Manager = shall be responsible for overseeing/managing the work products to = ensure timely delivery. The Project Manager shall be responsible for = overseeing completion of Issue Group 3/4/5 work products, facilitating = manufacture of the Assessment Tool, over seeing development of = videotape (s), facilitating production and distribution of Outreach = Educational Kits, managing the planning, scripting, and funding of an = FDA Bed Rail teleconference and serving as the facilitator for Issue = Leader meetings and Full HBSW meetings. The contractor shall have = experience in Product Risk Management, specifically in hospital bed = systems. The contractor shall have Human Factors and Mechanical = Engineering experience. The period of performance is for 12 months. All = responsible parties that can provide and meet the above requirement = shall submit written quotations within 15 days from the date this = notice appears in the CBD. No solicitation will be issued therefore = request for such will be considered non-responsive. All questions shall = be submitted in writing and received by facsimile 301/827-7039. The = award is being issued on a sole source basis because the contractor has = the unique capabilities for this project.
