Description

The US Government seeks to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS and = related conditions in specific countries within sub-Saharan Africa, = Asia and the Americas through the Global HIV/AIDS Initiative. Targeted = countries represent those with the most severe epidemics and highest = number of new infections. Zimbabwe is one of these targeted countries. = The purpose of this project is to manage the production and airing of a = radio serial drama for behavior change and HIV/AIDS prevention in = Zimbabwe. The project aims to positively influence behavior relating to = reproductive health, especially HIV/AIDS and related conditions (e.g., = other sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis) through mass = media intervention in the form of a radio serial drama. The overall = goal is the primary and secondary prevention of HIV transmission, = mitigation of the impact of AIDS, enhanced prevention and care of = HIV-related conditions and unintended pregnancies and promotion of = reproductive health. The period of performance for this project shall = be 12 months from the date the contract is awarded. There are two = options to extend the term of the contract for an additional 12 months = per option. Thus, the total basic year and options periods shall not = exceed 36 months.
