Description
The U.S. Department of Energy, Oakland Operations Office (DOE/OAK) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) entitled "Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement." The acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The NAICS code is 421430. DOE/OAK is consolidating a DOE wide requirement for four commercial versions of Microsoft Enterprise Software products for a four year period as follows: 1) Full Platform Enterprise Agreement which includes Windows Desktop Operating System Upgrade, Microsoft Office Professional, and Microsoft BackOffice Client Access License; 2) Two-pool Enterprise Agreement which includes Windows Desktop Operating System Upgrade and Microsoft Office Professional; 3) Two-pool Enterprise Agreement which includes Windows Desktop Operating System Upgrade and Microsoft Office Standard; and 4) Two-pool plus CAL Enterprise Agreement which includes Windows Desktop Operating System Upgrade, Rights to Microsoft Office Professional, and Rights to Windows 2000 Client Access Licenses. The proposed action is to establish a cost effective Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for quantity ranges as follows: 1 -- 4,999 units; 5,000 to 19,999 units; 20,000 to 49,999 units; or 50,000 to 70,000 units. Delivery orders will be issued by each individual site. It is anticipated that the RFP will be available on the Internet on or about June 14, 2001. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation by accessing the Internet using any Web browser, at http://e-center.doe.gov. The solicitation will be posted without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) Program. Based on the type of commercial product, DOE/OAK will allow ONLY seven (7) days for receipt of proposals. No paper copies of the solicitation will be made available.
