Description

The original project has been split into two projects on the Devil's Garden Ranger District of the Modoc National Forest: Hackamore Mechanical Precommercial Thinning and Badger Mechanical Precommercial Thinning. The Hackamore project is approximately 1786 acres and is being advertised under the rules of Title IV of the National Fire Plan. The Badger Project is approximately 1507 acres and will be released as solicitation number RFP R5 09-01-136. Both projects involve performing mechanical tree thinning, whole tree piling, skidding and total removal of thinned material in compliance with the specifications. Both solicitations will contain a 2400-4, Timber Sale Contract. Desired Estimated Start work date is August 15, 2001. Conract time is 160 calendar days. This solicitation is to be release on or about June 15, 2001. This procurement will be conducted as a request for proposals under FAR part 15. NAICS code 115310.
