Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Chicagoland Cabling Solutions, Inc. to perform the following cabling services within the computer room of Building 37, VA Hines OIFO. Contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to pull, terminate, and certify 21 sixplex locations, each consisting of 6 Cat 6 cables; terminate all locations onto 48 port Cat 6 patch panels with horizontal wire management. Based on the vendor's prior experience and familiarity with the cabling on the Hines complex, VA believes that Chicagoland Cabling Solutions, Inc. is the only vendor with the specialized knowledge and expertise necessary to provide the quality of services required. The anticipated award date is June 21, 2001. This notice is not a request for quotations. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. Responses must include sufficient documentation to allow this office to evaluate the possibility of your firm to submit a valid proposal. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of VA. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopses will be published. All responses must be submitted in writing within 3 calendar days of publication of this notice.
