Description

USAID/Ethiopia invites sealed bids for the supply of 12,000 units of Programmable Scientific Calculators Model: Casio FX 3900 PV or equivalent with padded heavy duty carrying bag. The calculators are to be used for the data entry and processing activity of the National Agricultural Census Sample Enumeration. Salient features of the required calculators include: Basic Operations:4 basic calculations, constants for +/-/x/ /xy/x1/y/, parenthesis calculations and memory calculations, Built-in functions: trigonometric/inverse trigonometric, common/natural logarithms, exponential, powers, roots, (square, cube) squares, decimal-segmental conversions, reciprocals, factorials, conversion of coordinate system, permutations, combinations, random number, , percentage, rounding and engineering, Statistical functions: paired-variable statistics-number of data, sum of x, y, squares of x, y, mean of x, y, standard deviation of x, y , constant term, regression coefficient, correlation coefficient, Integrals: Simpson's rule, Memory: 1 independent memory and 6 constant memories, Capacity: entry/basic calculations i.e. 10 digits mantissa or plus 2 digit exponent up to 10 99, Scientific functions: sinx/cosx/tanx, sin-1x/cos-1x, tan-1x, logx/Inx, ex, 10x, xy, x1/y, x2, 1/x, x!, nPr/nCr, etc., Output accuracy: 1 in the 10th digit, Program function: steps 300max, stored programs- 4max, edit function- program Checking, deletion, insertion, Power source: one lithium battery (6000 hrs continuous operation) The source/origin geographic code is 935, i.e. open to all eligible countries. Delivery is CIF Addis Ababa, Bole International Airport, Customs Warehouse, within approximately 35-40 days from placement of order. Offers are to include all costs up to delivery point except import duty and taxes. Payment is to be processed upon delivery of all the calculators and submission of proof of arrival of the goods at Customs Office, Addis Ababa. Offers have to remain valid for at least 30 days. Original catalog and brochure with returnable sample calculator is required. Award is to be made for a complete lot. Optional offer for availing an expert to install (adjust) the program of the calculators to the end user shall be included.
