Description

The Coastal Systems Station (CSS), Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit on a sole source basis for MAK Technology Software from Mak Technologies, Cambridge, MA in support of several different projects including The Naval Visualization Program (NVP), The Naval Mine Warfare Simulation (NMWS) and the Fleet Battle Experiments (FBE). This software will be in support of a new program, the Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE). 18 months of effort with the suite of Mak Technologies software and development tools have already been invested. The time and money required to duplicate this corporate knowledge with another software vendor would not be justified given the current short term milestones for the DVTE program.
