Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following Color Z406 Rapid Prototyping System: 1)Complete Rapid Protoyping System, Z406, full color printer, capable of producing color finished parts by Three Dimensional Printing consisting of the following requirements: a) Must be capable of build speeds at .007 inch layer thickness: color mode:0.33 inches per hr; b) Due to the complexity of our parts, the machine must build parts without the use of support structures; c) Machine must create parts suitable to patterns for investment casting; d) Machine must be suitable for an office environment; e) Machine must be able to complete a part with max dimensions 8"x10"x8" in color mode; f) Finished parts must retain integrity at temperatures above 160 degrees Fahrenheit; g) Dimensions of machine to be 40"x31"x44"h; h) Weight of machine to be no more than 500 lbs; I) Product composition will be non-toxic starch based or plaster based powder and water based binder; j) Includes required PC based software; 2) Service contract of 1 year; 3) ZW4 Automatic Wax Unit; and 4) Z406 System starter kit. This requirement is sole sourced to Z Corp; 20 North Avenue, Burlington, MA 01803 as the only vendor able to provide this product as the exclusive patent licensee for this technology. Any firms believing that they can provide this product may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing it's ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the data or without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
