Description

The purpose of this project is as follows: Most roof surfaces on this complex historic structure were made to appear as if asphalt shingles had been applied on top of existing cedar shingles. Cedar shingles (acting as drip edge) brought moisture back up to the cornice and sheathing causing rot. The purpose of this contract is to repair that damage, straighten/replace related copper gutter and spouting, and reroof an area roughly estimated at 6050 square feet in such a manner as to: -- Achieve the original visual goal without promoting rot. -- Cause the least damage -- Produce the longest lasting roof possible with these materials. The estimated construction range of this project is between 25,000-100,000. This solicitation is issued pursuant to P.L. 100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to all size firms.
