Description

Work consists of the removal of combination space heating, = cooling and domestic hot water units and providing new indoor natural = gas furnaces, electric water heaters and split system air conditioning = outdoor units in approximately 500 housing units in the Palmetto = Heights housing area. The work is also to include installation of CO = detectors in each of the units. Additionally the work is to include = the installation of natural gas distribution piping around the housing = units, and installation of new natural gas meters. The project shall = include associated electrical and minor construction work. All work is = to be accomplished on a unit-by-unit basis. This will be an IDIQ = contract with a base year and one (1) option year. (The government = reserves the rights to exercise the option). The estimated contract = magnitude for this acquisition is between $1,000,000.00 and = $5,000,000.00. The proposed procurement is restricted to HUBZone Small = Businesses. This procurement will be awarded on a Best Value Basis. = The applicable North American Industry Classification System code = (NAICS) for this acquisition is 235110. It is anticipated that the = solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 29 June 2001 on = the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www,eps.gov. Paper copies are = NOT available.
