Description

Z -- The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) requires labor, supervision, tools and materials be provided to convert 900 SqFt(+/-) of an existing 1900 SqFt(+/-) growth chamber area into laboratory use at the Pasture Laboratory Building. Base Bid Requirement (line item 01) is for the wall removals; constructing defining walls and doors; sub-floor preparation; a new air handler unit and duct work; and 500 SqFt (+/-) of finished lab space including suspended ceiling, flooring, casework, chemical fume hoods, HVAC, plumbing, electrical power and lighting, telecommunications and fire alarms. Option I (line item 02) will include the fit out of the remaining 400 SqFt (+/-) of laboratory space. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Project completion is required 180 days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a 100% small business set aside. The size standard is $9.0 million dollars for the past three years and is issued under NAICS Code 233320. IFB 12-3615-01 will contain all terms, conditions, specifications and drawings and will be available on or about June 29, 2001. Request for a copy of the IFB must be made in writing and include your company's name, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and received at the POC's office not later than June 20, 2001.
